Writing a world history text book, I thought it would help to keep a kind of writing journal, talking about some of the themes, questions, problems sources that I come across. Partly for the purpose of the book at hand, partly to record some of the more interesting debates for possible use in later books, partly so i can relate things to writing partners, and partly for the hell of it.
